At Journey Covenant, our mission is:
A Life-Changing Journey, Knowing and Showing Jesus

Through service, we know Jesus better by walking in his footsteps.

...the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. -Matthew 20:28

Through service, we show Jesus working through us, to God's glory.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in Heaven. -Matthew 5:16

Through service, we turn our faith into verbs: praying, visiting, building, feeding, clothing, driving, befriending, healing, loving.

Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. -1 John 3:18

Congregational Care

Serving for God starts within the church, meeting the needs of those in the congregation who are unemployed, sick, recovering, hurting, or otherwise in need of prayer support. Marcy and Kurt Bilbao lead our church in ministering to internal needs. Read more about opportunities to serve within Journey Covenant Church here.

Community Service

Members of our congregation are passionate about serving the community, just as Christ modeled during his ministry on earth. There are several opportunities to serve in Liberty and the Northland, and many opportunities in the greater Kansas City area. Sheila and Jerry Moravec lead our church in ministering to our community. Read more about opportunities to serve in our backyard here.

National and International Missions

Journey Covenant Church is a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church, which places a high priority on mission work. Read here about what the ECC is doing in our country and overseas.

In addition to supporting the mission work of the ECC, Journey Covenant Church organizes and supports short term mission trips and international service projects. Read more about opportunities to support and serve international mission work here.

Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me. --Matthew 25:40
